After a noontime five-mile walk on Riverside Drive, I strolled upon Crêpes & Délices on the Upper West Side. I glanced through the window, glimpsed the menu, and guessed it might be a lovely treat. There I was Saturday past, eating a Honey and Almond Crêpe, drinking an Americano, and reading The House of Mirth by Edith Wharton.

My meal was perfect, the place was just right, and yes, I was happy.
